The Golden Apple and Golden Compass Awards honor faculty and staff who have made a lasting impact on students.

The 2023–2024 USC Marshall Golden Apple and Golden Compass Awards have been announced.
Each school year, graduate and undergraduate students vote for which faculty and staff members have positively influenced their lives, both in and out of the classroom.
“Students vote for faculty and staff who made a difference in their time at USC — people who have gone above and beyond,” said Ramandeep Randhawa, senior vice dean for academic programs. “The winners are not just teaching the material but are appealing to the students in a deeper way.”
Awarded since the 1990s, faculty members who receive the Golden Apple Awards are honored in one of three teaching categories: core classes, electives, or mentoring. Meanwhile, recognized staff receive the Golden Compass Award.
This year, the students have chosen to recognize 16 faculty members and two staff members. Congratulations to the following key members of the Marshall community:
