Interview: Marco Aponte-Moreno in KCBS
Aponte-Moreno discusses the tense situation between the United States and Venezuela and the prospect of a possible regime change in the South American country.
Professor Aponte-Moreno specializes in leadership development, strategic management, and international negotiations. He teaches both MBA and undergraduate courses. His interdisciplinary work explores how the arts, particularly theater and improvisation, can contribute to the development of leadership skills. He also studies international negotiation strategies, and political leadership in Venezuela, his native country.
Before joining academia, he worked in global corporate finance for international firms including Crédit Lyonnais (France), Mizuho (Japan), and ED&F Mann (UK). He has lived and worked in Venezuela, the United States, France, and the United Kingdom, and has traveled to more than forty countries. He has received multiple honors for teaching and mentorship, including the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching, the Golden Apple Award for Mentoring, the Marshall Excellence in Teaching Award, and the Management and Organization Department Teaching Award.
