Graduate Career Services focuses on incorporating your personal and professional achievement into a career management strategy to guide you in accelerating a career.

Online MBA candidates can tailor career services to fit their needs, including career coaching, self-assessment, resume critiques, research tools, interview preparation, and more.

Graduate Career Services offers career education programs and workshops tailored to the specific needs of graduate students seeking career transition or advancement, from first post-MBA job to mid- and senior-level executives seeking to hone their skills in preparation for the C-suite.

One-on-One Coaching 

Online MBA students meet with a dedicated career strategist for individualized coaching and guidance on skill building, strategic career planning and employment negotiations to help target a job search strategy for specific positions or companies.

Career Strategist appointments can be made directly online via the My Career Services Online Portal (MCSO).

Tina is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in financial services and business consulting for technology companies. She has advised non-finance executives and founders on how to model their business plans and coached them to articulate the financial impact of their strategies.  Previously, Tina held various financial, operational, and HR positions with top tier hedge funds and investment banks in London, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles.

Associate Director, Career Strategist, Online MBA program

Tina Xu is Associate Director and primary Career Strategist for the Online MBA program, and is part of the Experienced & Working Professionals team in Graduate Career Services.

Tina is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in financial services and business consulting for technology companies. She has advised non-finance executives and founders on how to model their business plans and coached them to articulate the financial impact of their strategies. Previously, Tina held various financial, operational, and HR positions with top tier hedge funds and investment banks in London, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles. She has also been an instructor at UCLA Extension teaching Finance; her course “Finance for Non-Financial Managers” consistently exceeds enrollment and student engagement goals.

Tina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a minor in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Oxford. She is also a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst, Level III candidate. In her spare time, Tina is an avid trekker and kettle corn lover. She trekked up Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa and Annapurna base camp in Nepal, celebrating at the peak with kettle corn on both occasions.
