The Leadership Journey: Developing Yourself and Others

This course will start with a 360-degree assessment, supplying feedback from a wide range of coworkers (ideally 10) to help you plan your professional development. Make the most of your leadership development program by signing up for our post-course one-on-one executive coaching program. We will help you increase lasting results by focusing on the application of key models and concepts soon after the learning event.
During this coaching, you will develop a personalized six-month "Leadership Action Plan" with three phases:
- Preparation – review and interpretation of a 360 assessment that was included in the Leadership course and a Behavior Styles assessment an additional assessment as part of the coaching program
- Planning – drafting an individual developmental action plan using data from the assessments, and incorporating relevant course content
- Execution – implementing the actions of the plan in real-play situations, reporting outcomes, and adjusting the plan as necessary. The coaching sessions will occur each week post course.
Coaching Costs: $3,900
8 x 45 minute sessions during a 90-day period, and 1 Behavior Styles Assessment

Jay Conger, DBA from Harvard, is a USC Marshall research scientist at the Center for Effective Organizations (CEO) and is the Henry Kravis Chaired Professor of Leadership at Claremont McKenna College. Jay Conger is recognized throughout the world as an expert on leadership, training and development of leaders and managers, organizational change, and boards of directors. Conger is a member of the Academy of Management. He is on the editorial board of the Academy of Management Learning and Education Journal. He has served as Associate Editor of the Leadership Quarterly. He is the recipient of the Business Week award "Best Professor to Teach Leadership to Executives" and the also is the recipient of the Smith Richardson Fellow awarded by the Center for Creative Leadership (2000). He has won numerous teaching awards.
