• Graduate Certificate in Marketing

    Welcome to our webpage where you will find more information about our flexible curriculum and application process.

    This program caters mostly to graduate students at USC pursuing masters and doctoral degrees in a variety of disciplines.

    We also welcome applicants from outside of USC.

    The Graduate Certificate in Marketing is designed for individuals who want to develop the analytical and technical skills needed to work with today’s complex marketing issues in the support of effective business decision-making. For those who are new to marketing or seek to change careers, consider the MS IN MARKETING which provides a more robust education and includes career services and scholarship opportunities.

The Graduate Certificate in Marketing requires 15 units including one required course and 12-13.5 units of 500-level MKT electives with a GPA of at least 3.0 for all units applied to the certificate.

Required Course: GSBA 509 or GSBA 509a or GSBA 528 Marketing Management

Electives: Complete successfully enough units of 500-level MKT coursework to total 15 units. No more than 3 units of CR/NC coursework can be applied to the certificate.

Students who have taken master's-level marketing class at another institution or as part of another program at USC prior to application may petition to replace the managerial statistics.


We welcome applications from individuals who have never applied to attend USC before as well as current USC graduate students.

Current USC Students

Only students currently enrolled in a Masters or Doctoral degree at USC are considered ‘current USC students.’ If you are an alumnus, even if recently graduated, you must follow the directions to apply as a non-USC student.

Non-USC Students
