USC Career Center
Accounting students' first and main career resource should be the USC Career Center. They offer career advising appointments and walk-ins, workshops, information sessions, and career fairs. In addition, they oversee connectSC where students can look for internship and job opportunities and participate in on-campus recruiting. We encourage our students to visit the Career Center and take advantage of the many opportunities they provide.
LSOA Undergraduate Program Career Resources
Students in the Leventhal School of Accounting have numerous resources and opportunities available to network and develop the skills needed to successfully secure internships, full-time positions and/or admission to graduate school.
Leventhal academic advisors are available during walk-in hours to review your resume and cover letters. Walk-ins are Monday- Friday from 3:30-4:30pm. You may also schedule an appointment with an advisor to discuss recruiting, resumes, cover letters, and other career concerns.
Meet the Firms
Each semester the big four and mid-tier accounting firms, as well as several other companies come to campus for a networking event, Meet the Firms. The recruiters from each of these firms bring around 20 staff members (usually alumni), giving students the opportunity to ask questions and learn about what it's really like to work in accounting. Beta Alpha Psi hosts the event in fall and Accounting Society hosts the event in spring. This evening event takes place at the California Science Center, and the required attire is business professional.
Marshall Student Services
Accounting major and minor students also have access to Marshall Student Services located in HOH 200. The Student Services office provides numerous career resources for accounting and business administration students including an online job and internship database The Marshall Career Source. This database is exclusively for Marshall and Leventhal majors and minors.
