Where do you learn the skills to perform under pressure?
Our approach to teaching is to translate academic science into practical skills that can give our students a competitive edge. The primary focus of the Performance Science Institute is teaching students, the USC community, and external partners to transfer findings from the science of high performance into everyday lives and workplaces.
Our teaching takes the form of formal curriculum to undergraduate students through our classes and Performance Science Minor, as well as engaged seminars with USC departments, and outside business organizations.
Our approach centers on using the scientific method as a vehicle to reduce distraction and better distill strategies for higher performance. The science we focus on comes from the field of performance science and aims to bridge the gap between academic research on topics such as gratitude, purpose, resilience, and mindset with how people chose to set up and design their lives.
