A mindset to go with one's skillset.

Studies have shown that optimism and goal-orientation are near-universal traits of successful entrepreneurs. The PSI aims to be a unique resource for training these skills in our students and stakeholders as they venture into their careers and startups. As an interdisciplinary institute, our teaching spans the fields of positive and performance psychology, neuroscience, behavioral science, and organizational behavior to provide a comprehensive toolkit for enhancing and generating high performance in business and entrepreneurship.

For students, we offer formal curriculum to undergraduate and graduate students through our classes and Performance Science Minor, as well as engaged seminars with USC departments, and outside business organizations.  We are also partnered with the Irani College for Performance Science to reach students at USC's new University Village to provide programming and training on performance science.

In addition, we visit companies and organizations to provide direct training. Our trainings and presentations have been  have been conducted at fortune 500 organizations, as well as USC departments spanning the Keck School of Medicine, Price School for Public Policy, Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences, as well as participating in USC's groundbreaking first-year Thrive Curriculum.

Finally, our speaker series has featured world class guests and iconoclasts. Since 2017, we have hosted Brené Brown, Alex Honnold, Kobe Bryant, Arianna Huffington, Gary Vaynerchuk, and Philip Bailey of Earth, Wind and Fire.
