Marshall and Leventhal Graduates Receive USC’s Highest Honors
The prestigious Order of the Laurel and the Palm, Order of Troy, and Order of Arête were announced on May 9 in a pre-Commencement celebration.
Integrity. Excellence. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Well-being. Open Communication. Accountability. USC’s Unifying Values are a North Star for every Trojan, but a select few students represent the true embodiment in ways that stand out among their peers. Those undergraduate and graduate students were honored on May 9 during the annual Student Recognition Awards Ceremony.
Recognized for their non-academic contributions that “have significantly enriched the quality of life at USC,” the recent recipients for the 2023–2024 academic year surpassed “expectations through leadership, volunteer work, and community engagement” that exceeded their stellar achievements in the classroom.
Additionally, two Marshall graduates were recognized by the school for their leadership and service with honors awarded during the Commencement ceremony on May 10.

Order of the Laurel and the Palm
Established in 1960, the Order of the Laurel and the Palm is the highest honor awarded to students completing their degrees who display exceptional leadership and service that makes a lasting impact on the university community and/or the world. Less than one percent of undergraduates and graduates earning their degrees are selected to receive the Order of the Laurel and the Palm.

Every year, the Albert T. Quon University and Community Service Award is given to a graduating Full-time or Part-time MBA student who has achieved success in both school and community service through their leadership and service to others. Students are nominated by Academic and professional staff in Graduate Programs.
Dr. Jack Dittrick Memorial Leadership Award
This Scholarship shall be awarded to a graduating senior who has exhibited outstanding leadership during his/her undergraduate years at USC and the Marshall School of Business.
