DAVID HIRSHLEIFER, professor of finance and business economics, received an unprecedented honor for a USC professor. He was inducted into the FMA FELLOWS by the Financial Management Association. The honor recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the financial profession, including distinguished scholarship, notable publications, or exemplary work with professional associations such as FMA.

Hirshleifer, for his part, exemplifies many of the characteristics of FMA Fellows. Not only did he serve as president of the American Finance Association, but he also has served in editorial capacities of several prestigious journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics and the Review of Financial Studies.
