Pedro Fernandes Makhoul

Assistant Professor of Strategy. Graduated in Economics from Insper, he holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration, with a focus on Strategy, from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and an M.Sc. in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University.

His research interests are in global, corporate, and non-market strategy, as well as in corporate finance, financial economics, and organizational economics. In addition to his work on ownership structures, he researches topics related to firms' strategic management of stakeholders – especially in the context of maintaining reputation.

He also researches topics related to immigration, nationalism, and xenophobia and how these issues affect firms' market and non-market strategies and their interactions with different stakeholders.
