April De La Rosa is the Chief of Staff to the Dean and joined Marshall in September 2021. Prior to joining Marshall she served in several roles at USC and other institutions of higher education. As Manager for Compliance Strategy and Operations at USC’s Office of Culture, Ethics and Compliance, she has managed highly visible and complex projects and led reporting to the Board of Trustees’ Audit, Compliance, Risk and Privacy Committee. April previously served as the Manager of Human Resources and Faculty Affairs Administration at USC’s Thornton School of Music, where she partnered with leadership to bolster the School’s DEI efforts and build programs for faculty onboarding and mentoring. Before coming to USC, April held senior positions and consulting roles in administrative services, human resources and student financial services at George Mason University, Georgetown University and Northern Virginia Community College.
April is a native of Virginia and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Virginia Wesleyan University and a Masters of Science in Engineering Management from George Washington University. She is a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Senior Human Resources Professional, a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Certified Facilitator of Virtual Training, and a Certified Practitioner of Cultural Transformation Tools.
