Michael Phillips

Michael is a veteran executive with a background in thehealthcare and hospitality industries. He has a successful track recordof building and leading highly effective management teams and guidingorganizations to profitability. Michael specializes in leading large, complexand multi-faceted organizations in highly regulated industries.

Mostrecently, Michael was CEO at Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center, a 769-bed acute-care hospital with distinct-part skilled nursing facility, ownedand operated by the city of San Francisco. Prior to Laguna Honda, Michaelserved as CEO at Silver Lake Medical Center, a two-hospital system located indowntown Los Angeles. Prior to serving at Silver Lake, Michael held executiveleadership positions at Kaiser Permanente, PacifiCare Asia Pacific, KindredHealthcare and Cedars-Sinai Health Systems.

Michael has led numerous financialturnarounds during his career which resulted in significant improvement inshareholder value. In addition to his considerable U.S. experience, Michaelalso has a portfolio of international experience, having served in priorexecutive leadership roles in both Europe and Asia.

Michaelis a graduate of the University of Southern California, School of Policy,Planning and Development. He is board certified inhealthcare management with the American College of Healthcare Executives.
