Jaime Avila is the Assistant Director of Advancement Services at USC Marshall and is responsible for several critical functions that support the entire USC Marshall External Relations team, including coordinating the donor acknowledgment and recognition program; coordinating and staffing three of Marshall's boards including the Board of Leaders; manages reports and other requests for constituent data; and also supports ad hoc events.
Jaime comes from a diverse career background in a variety of sectors, including private, government, and nonprofit sectors. Jaime most recently served as the Research Development Coordinator for the Office of Research at the USC Rossier School of Education. Prior to that, he was a Public Relations Project Assistant for the City of Los Angeles. Before that, Jaime served as an Outreach Coordinator for Psomas and the City of Beverly Hills. In each of these roles, Jaime has honed his project management, communication, design, data, budgeting, and event coordination skills.
Jaime is also a double Trojan, having earned a BA in International Relations – Global Business with a Minor in Spanish, and a Master of Public Administration from the Price School of Public Policy. During his time at USC, Jaime was a scholarship recipient, studied abroad, and received multiple academic awards. Some of the scholarships Jaime received and continues to be a part of as an alumni include the Latino Alumni Association, USC Norman Topping, TELACU, and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. Jaime loves hiking and traveling, and his favorite traveling experience was going to Japan and Korea in the summer of 2023.
