Kimon Drakopoulos 
Received the Jagdish Sheth Award for Impact of Research on Practice.

Omar El Sawy
Received the Evan C. Thompson Faculty Mentoring and Leadership Award.

Vishal Gupta
Received the Jagdish Sheth Award for Impact of Research on Practice.

Adel Javanmard and Mohammad Mehrabi (Ph.D. student)
“Fundamental Tradeoffs in Distributionally Adversarial Training” (with Ryan A. Rossi, Anup Rao and Tung Mai) has been accepted for publication in International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML).

Ann Majchrzak
Received the Dean’s Award for Research Impact.

Dawn Porter
Received a Golden Apple award for teaching in the MBA.PM Core.

Peng Shi
Received a Golden Apple award for teaching in the MS-Business Analytics Core.

Somya Singhvi
Won first place in the 4th POMS Applied Research Challenge for the paper “Improving Farmers’ Income on Online Agri-platforms: Theory and Field Implementation of a Two-stage Auction” (with Retsef Levi, Manoj Rajan and Yanchong Zheng).

Wen Sun
Received the Dean’s Award for Research Excellence.

Kathy Takayama
Created Fundamentals of Project Management Skill Booster as part of the new USC Career Launchpad https://careerlaunchpad.usc.edu.

Received a Golden Apple Teaching award from his students for Full-Time MBA Core.

Cary Frydman 
Has been appointed an associate editor at the Journal of Financial Economics.

Has been appointed an associate editor at the Review of Financial Studies, another top-three finance journal.

“Efficient Coding and Risky Choice” (with Lawrence Jin, Caltech) has been accepted for publication in the Quarterly Journal of Economics. 

Using Response Times to Infer Others’ Private Information: An Application to Information Cascades” (with Ian Krajbich, OSU) has been accepted for publication in Management Science.  

Arthur Korteweg
Has been appointed an associate editor at the Journal of Financial Economics.

Emily Nix
Received a Golden Apple award for undergrad teaching from her students.

Received the Dr. Douglas Basil Award for Junior Business Faculty (for teaching)

Received the Dean’s Award for Ph.D. Advising.

Nandini Rajagopalan
“Be Careful What You Wish For: CEO and Analyst Firm Performance Attributions and CEO Dismissal” (with Sun Hyun Park at Seoul National University and Sung Hun (Brian) Chung at Rice University) has been accepted for publication in the Strategic Management Journal. Sun was an assistant professor in MOR before he moved back to Korea, and Brian was a doctoral student in MOR before he transferred to the doctoral program at Rice.

Received the Dean’s Award for Research Excellence

“Detrimental Collaborations in Creative Work: Evidence from Economics” (with Keyvan Vakili and Micahel Bikard) has been accepted for publication in Organization Science.

Received the Evan C. Thompson Faculty Mentoring and Leadership Award.

Joe Nunes
“What Consumers Mean When They Say Products Are Authentic” (with Andrea Ordanini and Gaia Giambastiani) was published on the American Marketing Association website about their Journal of Marketing article, “The Concept of Authenticity: What It Means to Consumers.”

Konrad Ribeiro
Received a Golden Apple teaching award from his undergraduate students. 

Gerard J. Tellis
“Fooled by Success: How, Why and When Disclosures Fail or Work in Mutual Fund Ads” (with Joseph M. Johnson and Noah VanBergen) was published in the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing.

Larry Vincent
Received a Golden Apple teaching award for graduate elective teaching from his students.
