USIF 2021 Managers
Ismael Ahmed is currently pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance at the USC Marshall School of Business. While at USC, Ismael has been actively involved in the Trojan Real Estate Association and Marshall Real Estate Finance Association. He also served as Director of Funding for Ansar Service Partnership for two-semesters. Ismael previously interned at Deutsche Bank’s Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities Group this past year and is looking forward to interning at J.P. Morgan with their Los Angeles Real Estate Asset Management Group. Originally from Oakland, CA, Ismael enjoys hiking, volunteering, taking pictures, and discovering new restaurants.
Gabriel Chen is currently pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business and a B.S. in Accounting from the Leventhal School of Accounting. At USC, he has served on the executive boards of the Trojan Investing Society, Asian Pacific American Student Assembly, and Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity. He also competes for USC as a member of the Dragonboat team. Gabriel has previously worked as a Business Development intern at Acer, an information technology company, and a Private Equity analyst at Redwood Growth Partners, a search fund. This summer, he will be interning at PricewaterhouseCoopers in San Francisco with the Transaction Advisory team, focusing on Financial Due Diligence. Originally from San Francisco, California, Gabriel enjoys traveling, playing badminton, and watching NBA basketball.
Aaron Huang is currently pursuing his B.S. in Computer Science and Business Administration at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering and Marshall School of Business. At USC, Aaron is also a member of the Marshall Case Team and represented USC Marshall at the 2020 Marshall International Case Competition. His previous professional experiences include a consulting internship with EY in Shanghai during his freshman summer and a private equity summer analyst position with CDH Investments in Shanghai during his sophomore summer. This summer, he is looking forward to interning in San Francisco at Nomura in their investment banking division. Born in Australia and raised in Shanghai, Aaron enjoys travelling, skiing, camping, and exploring different restaurants.
Shreyansh Jhalani is currently pursuing his B.S. in Business Administration at the USC Marshall School of Business and a progressive degree in M.S. in Finance. While at USC, Shreyansh currently serves as the Founding Father and Chair of Community Service at his fraternity, Phi Kappa Tau. He has also been on the board for the USG Funding Team. Shreyansh has previously interned with Metta Capital Advisors as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst in Mumbai. Shreyansh is looking forward to pursuing his Master’s classes this upcoming summer. Shreyansh is originally from India and enjoys running, weightlifting, hiking, and exploring new cuisines in the city.
Mario Koenigsperger is currently pursuing a B.S. degree in Business Administration at the Marshall School of Business and a minor in Computer Programming at the Viterbi School of Engineering. Mario has been involved in the Marshall Career Advantage Mentor Program and is a volunteer at the Special Olympics organization. Last summer, he worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York as a Sales & Trading COO intern in the Global Markets business. Outside of academics, Mario is a school record-holder in swimming and has represented USC at Pac-12 and NCAA championship finals. Internationally, he represents his home country of New Zealand. Mario’s interests include watching sport, reading, and working out.
Jonathan Lin is currently pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration at the USC Marshall School of Business and a minor in Applied Computer Security at the Viterbi School of Engineering. Outside of academics, Jonathan serves as a mentor for the Trojan Investing Society, USC’s premier finance organization that helps prepare its members for careers in finance. He has also been involved with the Marshall Case Team. This last summer, Jonathan previously interned with St. Cloud Capital in Santa Monica and is looking forward to joining Macquarie Capital’s Century City office in the Consumer, Gaming & Leisure group. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys reading, building computers and exploring Japanese cuisine.
Amit Lingampalli is currently pursuing a B.S. in Economics/Mathematics and a B.S. in Business Administration. At USC, Amit has served as Co-President of the Value Investing Group, an active representative for USC Marshall Case Team, and a fellow for Trojan Venture Partners. His previous professional experiences include internships at LiveAction, an early-stage enterpriseSaaS company in Palo Alto, and G Squared, a late-stage venture capital firm in San Francisco. In the summer of 2020, Amit will be a summer analyst at Barclays' Los Angeles office as a part of its financial sponsors and consumer retail team. Originally from Fremont, California, Amit spends his spare time reading, learning photography, playing strategy games, and relaxing with friends & family.
Sanjay Mattela is currently pursuing his B.S. in Business Administration at the USC Marshall School of Business. While at USC, Sanjay currently serves as the Co-Head of the Trojan Investing Society Mentorship Program, the flagship program for Marshall’s largest student organization. He has previously completed internships across industries such as investment banking and asset management. This upcoming summer, Sanjay is looking forward to interning at J.P. Morgan in their technology investment banking group in San Francisco. In his free time, Sanjay enjoys watching basketball, hanging out with friends, and trying out new restaurants.
Daniel Oh is currently pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration at the Marshall School of Business and a minor in Computer Science at the Viterbi School of Engineering. Daniel previously interned at the White House and at Fn Pricing in Seoul, South Korea. While at USC, Daniel has served as the treasurer and secretary of Alpha Gamma Omega fraternity and the outreach chair of Korean-American Campus Missions. In his free time, his hobbies include basketball, volleyball, and the guitar.
Danny Shin is currently pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration. At USC, Danny served as a Vice President of Finance of Beta Alpha Psi. Danny finished his two years of military duty from 2017-2019, and whiling exciting the duty, he studied and passed USCPA Exam (Montana Jurisdiction). This summer, he is going to work at Ernst & Young Financial Service Organization Department as an audit intern. This upcoming fall semester, he will be work as a TA for Professor Plotts’s FBE 421 course. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his dog, studying fashion, playing soccer.
Noah Traeger is currently pursuing his B.S. degree in Business Administration at the USC Marshall School of Business and a minor in Mathematics at Dornslife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences. Previously, Noah worked as a research intern at Pier Asset Management, an alternative lending hedge fund that focuses on short-duration private credit. At USC, he is involved in the Value Investing Group, and he previously worked as a residential assistant. Currently, Noah works as a Teaching Assistant for GSBA 511, a graduate-level microeconomics class. He is also currently working on an honors economic research thesis studying the distribution of asset risk across US households. In his free time, Noah enjoys reading, camping, skiing, and gardening.
Alex Wang is currently pursuing his B.S. in Business Administration at the USC Marshall School of Business as well as a minor in Applied Analytics in the Viterbi School of Engineering. He was a former member of Pi Kappa Phi and serves as a Mentor in USC's Trojan Investing Society. He previously interned as a summer analyst at Traverse Pointe Partners, a lower middle-market private equity firm based in Chicago. This upcoming summer, Alex will be interning at Moelis' San Francisco office as an investment banking summer analyst in the technology group. Alex is originally from Kansas and enjoys playing tennis, jogging, watching his beloved Trojans and Chiefs play, and songwriting.
Brian Wehner is currently pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration at the Marshall School of Business and a minor in Computer Programming at the Viterbi School of Engineering. While at USC, Brian serves as a mentor for the Trojan Investing Society. Brian previously gained experience working for Experian, a global consumer credit reporting company, Armory Securities, a middle-market investment bank, and Plug and Play Ventures, an early-stage startup accelerator. This summer, Brian is excited to join Union Square Advisors as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst in San Francisco. Originally from the Bay Area, Brian enjoys spending time with family and friends, rooting for Manchester United, and attending music festivals.
Nicholas Witham is currently pursuing his B.S. in Business Administration at the USC Marshall School of Business. While at USC, Nicholas currently serves as a mentor and was the former head of the Leaders Program for the Trojan Investing Society, Marshall’s largest student organization, which focuses on investment banking. He has previously interned at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P. in its Liquid Credit and Growth Equity groups and BHIC LLC. as an Investment Intern. Nicholas is looking forward to interning at Rothschild & Co in its Los Angeles Investment Banking office this upcoming summer. Nicholas is originally from Pacific Palisades, California and enjoys going to the beach, running, cooking, playing guitar and piano, as well as spending time with friends and family.
Vivian Zhu is currently pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration at Marshall School of Business and a B.A. in Economics from Dornsife College of Letters, Arts & Sciences. While at USC, Vivian has been actively involved with Marshall Case Team, Global Investment Society and pro-bono consulting organization Global Brigades @ Marshall. As an international student from Shanghai China, She is also a founding member at International Family and Union, a volunteer organization aims to help facilitate communication between Chinese students and their families back home. Vivian has previously interned at Zana Capital, a private equity firm in Singapore, and Crest Point, a search fund in Los Angeles. She really looks forward to her summer internship experience at Parnassus Investments San Francisco, the largest ESG mutual fund in the US. In her spare time, Vivian enjoys international traveling, working out, and snowboarding.
