David Dugan graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2014 with a B.A. in Economics and Accounting. Prior to joining USC Marshall, he worked as a Manager with EY’s Consulting practice, where he led and supported engagements for financial services clients including banks, asset management firms, and broker dealers. David worked out of the San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Orange County offices. His experience within the financial services industry shaped his passion for financial markets and the intersection of finance and technology. In addition to his involvement with the Student Investment Fund, David is also an Officer of USC’s MBA Honor Committee. In his free time, David enjoys surfing, fishing, and golfing.
Brennan Reif graduated from Villanova University in 2010 with a B.A. in Political Science. Prior to attending USC Marshall, he worked as a management consultant, most recently with Accenture, where he led cross-functional teams focused on strategy development and technology innovation. Brennan came to Marshall to pivot into venture capital, where he can leverage his passion of working with early-stage technology companies that are seeking to develop novel solutions with a global mindset. Brennan is an avid Manchester United supporter and enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and watching movies in his spare time.
Max Reinert graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2018 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Business. Prior to attending USC Marshall, he worked in Sales and Marketing at a technology startup in the enterprise data management industry. Max became passionate about finance during his first semester at Marshall and is excited to work as a Finance intern in Juniper Networks’ pricing division this summer. His favorite book is Loonshots by Safi Bahcall. In his spare time, Max enjoys running, watching sports, reading about startups, and comedy.
Prior to attending USC Marshall, Fernando Zepeda worked as a Development Associate at Irongate LLC, a boutique real estate development firm, where he assisted in the development and management of luxury homes in Los Cabos, Mexico. Currently, Fernando is an Investment Analyst intern at The Holdsworth Group, an LA-based hedge fund focused on opportunistic investments. This summer he will work for Credit Suisse in its Equity Research division as a Summer Associate. His favorite investors are Stan Druckenmiller and Warren Buffet. In his spare time, Fernando enjoys playing basketball, sharpening his chess skills, and listening to business podcasts. Fernando Zepeda graduated from Occidental College with a B.A. in History and Sociology.
