Welcome to the USC Marshall Center for Investment Studies. The Center promotes teaching and research in the area of Investment Management at the USC Marshall School of Business. We seek to increase financial literacy among our students and to create knowledge that will allow investment sponsors and practitioners to obtain better results.
We are particularly proud of our sponsorship of USC’s student managed Student Investment Funds. The graduate Student Investment Funds were among the first such university funds when they were established more than 20 years ago. They have since grown to almost four million dollars under management. The Center started the Undergraduate Student Investment Fund in Spring 2008, and we are very excited about its growth. The Student Investment Funds are managed by students enrolled in our capstone courses in advanced investment management.
We invite you to learn more about us through our web pages.
Recent gifts by Robert Rodriguez and the Lord Foundation, in addition to the founding gift by Larry and Karen Tashjian, fund the Center's efforts to expand its academic research activities and broaden its scope to include fixed-income markets. CIS is actively seeking to support research and teaching in capital markets, corporate finance, and investment in order to increase our understanding of financial analysis and valuation.
