Specialized Masters programs are growing across the world as employers seek students with advanced skillsets tailored to specific business areas. The M.S. Marketing Program at USC Marshall is one of these programs, acting as a springboard for aspiring marketers to develop the skills they need to launch their careers.

Specialized Masters degrees enable students to build a specialty in one particular area, and more effectively market themselves to employers. Through USC Marshall’s M.S. Marketing Program, students pursue either the Consumer Behavior or the Marketing Analytics track, and can also work towards an additional certificate in the Business of Entertainment. These areas of study closely align with the needs of local employers in California, from the data-driven tech companies that proliferate Silicon Valley to the bright lights of Hollywood studios.

Specialized Masters programs enable students to get an early-career boost. By honing industry-relevant skills early in their career, Specialized Masters graduates stand out in the job market and bring highly-relevant skills to the workplace. Over the course of these intensive programs, students develop a desirable professional skillset and engage with local business leaders through a series of networking and mentorship events.

At USC Marshall, students can complete the M.S. Marketing Program in just 12 months, or can complete the program in 24 months part-time. Over the duration of the program, students take a series of core marketing classes, and can select graduate electives from various Marshall programs, including courses from the Business Analytics, Finance, or Management and Organization departments. Classes are taught at the MBA level, and M.S. Marketing students enjoy a variety of guest speakers from global companies like Amazon, Disney, Facebook, and Nike.
