Harleen Jagpal joins the IBEAR MBA Program with seven years of experience in the real estate and construction industry. Born and raised in Vancouver, Harleen has led and assisted in over 200,000 square feet of private residential, industrial, and commercial developments. Harleen served as Director of Business Development for a Door Manufacturing company while successfully implementing a new marketing and sales strategy. This resulted in growth in company sales and a successful and profitable acquisition of the business in early 2020. Harleen is a member of the Women In Business team for the Surrey Board of Trade, where she helps plan events such as the annual International Women’s Day conference. Harleen holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, with a specialization in entrepreneurship. Harleen was a Top 25 under 25 recipient in Surrey, British Columbia and received a Health & Safety Workplace award in 2018. Harleen is looking to transition into management consulting.
Jose Ignacio Ezquerra joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 10 years of professional experience in investment banking, manufacturing and the food industry. Jose holds a bachelor’s degree in business, economics and administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and a master’s degree in finance from the same University. He started in investments at Penta as a stock market trader and was soon promoted to Portfolio Manager of mutual funds managing over $100M in assets. He moved to Wenco, a leader in the plastic industry in Latin America, as Product Manager of its agricultural business. Jose eventually moved to Group San Clemente as Sales Manager and later, Commercial Director of the company San Clemente Foods. Here he oversaw production and export of fruit, juices and vegetables to USA, Europe and Asia with a focus on the baby food products. Upon completion of the IBEAR MBA program, Jose intends to work in the food and retail industry focusing on strategy and new developments.
Xinru Guo joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 8 years of global work experience across a wide range of functions in the luxury fashion industry including R&D, procurement, manufacturing, merchandising, marketing, public relations and customer service. Xinru contributed to the company’s digital transformation by providing workflow optimization and global cross-functional coordination. She reduced direct purchasing costs by 5% through a self-developed cost management model, and by creating strategic partnerships with the world‘s top luxury raw material suppliers. Yumeihui “Mayway” He
Yumeihui “Mayway” He joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 10 years of experience in the China internet industry. She had worked at Tencent for 7 years where she successfully held several positions, including Sr. Product Manager of Tencent Weibo. As Sr. Product Manager of Tencent Video, Yumeihui was responsible for unlocking commercial value of several famous entertainment shows such as The Voice of China, Running Man China and The Coming One. Her work earned her the Best Collaboration Award and the Major Business Breakthrough Award at Tencent even as she set several income records. She then joined Alibaba, where she led the team in charge of integration planning, marketing and commercial resources development. Yumeihui holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Management degrees from ZhengZhou University, and a Master of Economics degree from University of International Business and Economics. Upon completion of the IBEAR MBA Program, Yumeihui intends to continue to work in the entertainment and internet industries.
Liangyu Lin joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 9 years of experience in advertising, media, hospital investment, and start-up businesses. Liangyu’s family business is focused on hospital investment, and owns over 100 hospitals and clinics across China. She currently works as Business Development Director overseeing business planning for all of the cosmetics hospitals of her family’s business. Her roles requires her to initiate projects with business partners in different cities and markets, explore potential customer resources, and creates new business. She recently co-founded a cosmetics company that produces and sells its own brand of cosmetics. Liangyu has also co-founded two other companies. The first is a fashion company that sells men’s bespoke suits. The other is a healthcare company that focuses on providing one-stop services for assisted reproduction techniques to treat infertility. The healthcare company cooperates with clinics and laboratories in China, Los Angeles, Japan, and Kiev. Liangyu holds a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising degree from Tianjin Normal University. Upon completion of the IBEAR MBA program, Liangyu plans to further expand her family business globally
Junxia Zhou joins the IBEAR MBA Program with over 11 years of experience in information technology. Junxia first worked on the enterprise collaboration portfolio at IBM as a software engineer, and eventually transitioned to a product release manager role for cloud-based applications. She has remained in cloud computing since 2011. In this role, Junxia has worked with global teams from America, Ireland and India, and has overseen the cloud delivery of Smarter Cities projects. She has helped her customers to shift towards a public cloud platform, developing collaborative and creative cloud-based services in the process. Junxia holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Computer Science and Technology from Hunan University of Science and Technology and Beihang University. Upon completion of the IBEAR MBA Program, Junxia intends to continue her career in cloud computing as a global business leader.
Franklin Pizarro, joins the IBEAR MBA Program from Colombia with 13 years of professional experience in Corporate Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and Project Finance in various industries including Mining, Oil & Gas and Pharmaceuticals. Over the span of his career, Franklin has worked various locations across South America. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in finance. In his last position, Franklin served as a Finance Planning and Analysis Manager at Barrick Gold Corporation based out of Santiago Chile, where he oversaw a portfolio of projects operating gold and copper mines of approximately $750 M in value. Upon completion of the IBEAR MBA Program, Franklin wants to become a Finance Manager at a tech star up or, at a green projects company.
Laura Conde Canencia, Ph.D.
Laura Conde Canencia has 12 years of experience in research and education in electrical engineering. She is an Associate Professor at the University of South Brittany, France, where she also served as an elected member of the Scientific Advisory Board and the International Relations Advisory Board. Her area of expertise is channel coding for data storage and transmission. She has published over thirty papers and holds four patents on DNA storage and hardware implementation of LDPC decoders. She received a French Power & Energy Society scientific excellence fellowship and was elected a member of a Technical Committee in the IEEE Signal Processing Society. In 2018, she was a Fulbright Visiting Research Scholar at UCLA, awarded the EU’s Marie Curie Fellowship, and co-funded by the French Ministry of Higher Education & Research. After the IBEAR MBA program, Dr. Conde Canencia plans to join a leading tech company or create her own startup in emerging digital technologies.
Baiyu “Anna” Zhu
Baiyu “Anna” Zhu joins the IBEAR MBA Program with over 10 years of experience in assurance services of PwC Hong Kong. Anna started in PwC’s Entrepreneurial Group Department, and provided audit and assurance services, including audits, reviews, IPOs and other capital market transactions, for corporate clients in industries of real estate development, construction, manufacturing and trading. In mid-2019, she joined the Risk & Quality Department on secondment, and promoted quality assurance practice across offices in the Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, by developing guidance, FAQs and templates for internal technical support and efficiency improvement. In addition, Anna is a real estate investor outside of her full-time career and manages investments in Hong Kong and California. Anna holds a B.A. in Business Administration from City University of Hong Kong and a CPA. Upon completion of the IBEAR MBA program, she plans to pursue her career in real estate investment.
Aditya Garimella joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 7 years of experience working for consulting and service based multi-national companies. He kickstarted his career with Accenture as an IT consultant, and then moved on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Information Technology and Management from The University of Texas. Since then, Aditya has spent most of his career in the Analytics practice as an effective manager and a client-engagement leader delivering high-end analytical insights to various international clients based in the USA and Canada. He has executed several milestone projects at his current firm that catered to major clients such as Novartis, Honeywell, Sanofi, Bayer, that generated over $10-12M per annum in revenues. Benson Ishak joins the IBEAR MBA Program with over 6 years of experience in the building materials manufacturing industry. During his role of a third-generation family business, Benson has founded and spearheaded two new divisions in the fenestration and coatings sector that lead to an increase in total company revenue of 22%. Prior to joining his family business, Benson has also had experience as an engineer and a business development manager in the water and wastewater treatment as well as the rigid packaging industry. Daisuke Fujimaki joins the IBEAR MBA program with 14 years of professional experiences at JGC Corporation, a leading engineering company providing EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) services. Junko Hayashida joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 9 years of experience in business development and program management in the IT industry. Junko started her career at Yahoo! Japan as a member of the strategic planning team for business development and excelled in her role in marketing travel services. Building on her interest in the travel and hospitality industry, Junko joined Airbnb Japan as a founding member of Japan market, where she worked on supply growth and partnerships with local entities for five and a half years. Kazuki Iwao joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 12 years of experience at the Bank of Japan (BOJ). Throughout his professional career as a central banker, he mainly handled off-site monitoring and examination of major Japanese banks, assessing their risks and profitability. In his most recent role as a Director in the Financial System and Bank Examination Department, he assessed the market risk of major Japanese banks following the destabilization of the financial markets caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. In addition, as a Deputy Director in the Monetary Affairs Department, he analyzed the effects of Qualitative and Quantitative Monetary Easing Policy (QQE) with Yield Curve Control on BOJ’s balance sheet and planned measures for QQE’s implementation. These accomplishments illustrate his abilities to grasp the big picture, identify the details and convincingly communicate them to others. Kazuki holds a Bachelor of Law from Hitotsubashi University. Upon completion of the IBEAR MBA Program, he intends to return to a leadership role and establish a consulting system that enables major Japanese financial institutions to expand overseas business.
Yuya Konoe joins the IBEAR MBA Program with more than 12 years of professional experience. Yuya worked for Deloitte in London and Tokyo, serving more than 15 multinational companies in the areas of auditing, leading international team members. He successfully implemented auditing remotely whilst London was lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to joining Deloitte, he was responsible for his family business, Asahimachi Wine, and also had experience with corporate finance and restructuring to build strong financial performance at Yamagata Bank in Japan. Yuya is a licensed CPA in Japan, and holds a Bachelor of Policy and Planning Science from the University of Tsukuba. Chan Kim joins the IBEAR program after 14 years of the information technology and advertising experience with ITOCHU Techno-Solutions, LINE and Digital Marketing Vietnam. He is bilingual in both Korean and Japanese languages. He started his career as an IT consultant in ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation, where he led IT system implement team for large Japanese financial enterprises with an annual budget of $10M, engaged and strategized with CXO level executives at client companies to improve the efficiency of IT process operation and increase sales by CRM telemarketing. During his career at tech giant Line, he was involved in partnerships with promising Japanese IT companies to promote Line's platform and launching of insurance fintech services and expanded new business by leading product management, pricing and advertising. At Digital Marketing Vietnam, he was in charge of the marketing & sales team, where he was responsible for formulating the company's business strategy and developing new services to support Japanese and Korean companies expand into Vietnam. Cheolwoo “Steven” Kim joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 16 years of experience at LGE. As manager of corporate strategy division at LGE, Cheolwoo successfully led Corporate Management Cycle Innovation, which strengthened product development process including pre-emptive product planning, enhancing readiness of innovative technology, and upgrading marketing strategy. Young Kyu Kim
Young Kyu Kim joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 14 years of experience in S-OIL, a Korean oil and energy company with annual sales exceeding $20 billion. As a supply operation manager, Young Kyu has stably managed supply of fuel products and their inventories against the risks of production failures and abrupt changes in demand. While formerly working as an internal auditor, he evaluated compliance of various business lines throughout the company and contributed to establishing value-added auditing process in the company. Young Kyu began his career as a chemical engineer, improving process efficiencies and contributing successful initial start-up of a new plant project. Hyun Woo Park
Hyunwoo Park joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 11 years of experience in accounting and internal control at LG Electronics (LGE) where he most recently led a corporate accounting team of fifteen members responsible for closing LGE HQ’s annual sales of $33 billion and has been an official lecturer of ‘Global Accounting Principle’ in LGE’s internal education program since 2015. Javier De Leon
Javier De Leon joins the IBEAR MBA Program with over 6 years of experience in real estate transactions. He began his career at a boutique transactional law firm in Mexico City, switched to the Mexican office of an American law firm renowned for its Real Estate practice, and finally transitioned to Thor Urbana, a Real Estate investment and development company, to lead the legal side of its acquisitions. Marina Stepanenko joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 13 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Starting in the Siberian oil fields, she has the first-hand experience of the industry. While in the oil fields, Marina successfully held several positions including field engineer and technical sales manager. She served as a critical link between Schlumberger and its key customers including BP, Shell, Gazprom, and Rosneft. Marina advanced her career to materials manager overseeing a $ 500 M portfolio spread across nine time zones and more than two dozen sites. Hui Ping Yvonne Teo
Hui Ping Yvonne Teo joins IBEAR with more than a decade of experience in the financial industry where she spent more than 8 years in Citi. She has diverse experiences serving various roles in multiple departments, including Corporate Finance, Operational Risk Management and Internal Audit. In her most recent role as a vice president in the Internal Audit Operations Team, she worked alongside with C-level management to rationalize processes to build a robust risk framework and managed Citi’s interactions with the Central Bank, the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Yvonne is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) and holds a Bachelor (First Class Honors) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, UK. Mojdih “Michelle” Amini
Michelle Amini joins the IBEAR MBA with 12 years of professional experience focusing in accounting and finance. Most recently, Michelle worked at Wells Fargo in their Corporate and Investment Banking group focusing on technology and media. Michelle worked closely with the top tech companies in Silicon Valley to help advising on business solutions regarding capital markets, credit and traditional banking products. Michelle started her career as an accountant working for startup companies in the Los Angeles area. She worked for companies from small nonprofits to even assisting one company toward a successful IPO. Upon completion of the IBEAR MBA program, Michelle will continue her career in the financial services industry focusing on technology investment banking. Michelle was born in Afghanistan and immigrated to the U.S at a young age with the hope of achieving the American dream.
Scott Barber comes to the IBEAR MBA program at the University of Southern California with 9 years of experience in investment banking. Mr. Barber, over the course of his career has advised companies on mergers and acquisitions within healthcare and consumer retail. He plans to remain in the investment banking industry upon graduation with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. Scott is the son of Lee and Jeanne Barber, brother of Alison and Blake Chapman and uncle of Waverley and Collins Chapman. Scott is an avid golfer, playing to a USGA +0.3 handicap and has successfully run the Boston Marathon raising funds for children's hospital in support of intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Chang-Hsuan “Andrew” Chiang
Chang-Hsuan “Andrew” Chiang joins the IBEAR program with over 10 years of experience in import, wholesale, and distribution at Asia Direct Home Products, Inc., a family business based in Greater Los Angeles area. His experience involves developing products with manufacturers in Southeast Asia, wholesale distribution in North America, and direct container sales to Latin America. Recently, Andrew has led the development of an e-commerce dropship program, building strategic business partnerships with online furniture retailers such as Wayfair. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Math & Economics as well as an Accounting Certificate from UCLA. Upon completion of the IBEAR MBA Program, Andrew intends to take the reins and continue to grow and expand the family business.
Cameron Cowger joins the IBEAR MBA Program with over 6 years of experience centered around roles as a political strategist and a policy advisor on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. While serving as a Legislative Assistant for a Florida Congressman, he analyzed pending bills and made vote recommendations within six areas, along with authoring legislation. Cameron played a key role in passing a U.S. House bill which President Obama signed into law in 2016. After departing Washington, he co-founded a political consulting firm, where he handled opposition research, developed strategic action plans, and served as a ‘boots on the ground’ campaign manager for a congressional candidate in Texas. Cameron holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs and Administration from the University of Oklahoma and speaks fluent Spanish. Sophie Cui joins IBEAR with 9 years of experience in the entertainment industry spanning Los Angeles and Beijing. She has focused her career on driving the cross-pollination of culturally and narratively diverse content. As a content executive, Sophie sourced film and television projects from Hollywood and global studios and assessed those projects’ value as investments and acquisitions. Peter De Jianne joins IBEAR with over 8 years of experience in contract manufacturing, financial services, and real estate. With his business background, he has focused his career on developing stakeholder engagement while building international partnerships and driving revenue growth. Peter has worked at Bentley Laboratories, Bloomberg and most recently as Enterprise Account Manager at WeWork where he managed a $32M portfolio servicing Fortune 50 financial services companies. During his tenure at WeWork he developed strategic sales plans and encompassed data-driven and innovative approaches to growth, leading to him doubling the revenue of his portfolio. Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Business from Syracuse University. Catherine Hartley joins the IBEAR program with over 18 years of experience in accounting and finance. Most recently Catherine was the Director of Internal Projects and Learning for BDO Global, working on strategic projects for the global network with a focus on learning and learning solutions. Catherine has also held assurance positions with both BDO USA and PricewaterhouseCoopers, working with clients from across the world, from life science start-ups to multibillion-dollar consumer goods companies. Most recently, Alexandra headlined iHeartRadio's first political news radio show in Washington, DC, broadcast locally on FM and streamed worldwide. She was a national news correspondent for NBC News Radio and reporter for several east coast markets.

Si Ting “Constance” Liu
Constance Liu joins the IBEAR MBA Program with more than 10 years of professional experience in the technology sector specialized in retail, healthcare, transportation, and video analytics. She has held roles in channel and product marketing, business development, and sales at global technology firms. Constance was in charge of the business development across multiple regions and has successfully established partner alliance and develop market penetration strategies in creating sustainable revenue. As the Senior Designer in Trend & Concept, Michael directed trend analysis, identified business opportunities, and conceived color, print, and mood for seasonal collections for the total brand. Prior to WH|BM, as Design Director at Pamella Roland, his work was featured on the runways of New York Fashion Week and worn by celebrities on the red carpet. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Romance Languages from the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Upon completion of the IBEAR program, Michael intends to become a global fashion industry leader, one who deftly blends craft and commerce.
Amerita Lue-Hing joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 12 years of experience in international freight logistics, distribution and supply chain management. Amerita began her career working for a family-owned freight forwarding company. She provided international shipping solutions to a wide range of clients in the steel, construction and consumer product industries. Amerita eventually transitioned to a management position at an apparel company where she led the distribution of finished denim product from manufacturers in Asia, Africa and the Middle East to distribution centers in the United States and Canada. As an import manager, she facilitated freight contract negotiations between shipping lines and freight agents. Amerita currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in international business from American University in Washington, DC. Upon completion of the IBEAR MBA program, Amerita intends to secure a senior management role within supply chain management function.
Matthew Mayne joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 6 years of experience in product management. He has helped develop web and mobile applications in fintech, retail/ecommerce, and software as service verticals at companies of various sizes, ranging from venture-backed startups to Fortune 500 companies, such as Macy's, Inc. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California. Upon completion of the IBEAR MBA Program, Matt intends to pursue entrepreneurship and/or product management leadership opportunities.
Elyse Nash has 10 years of experience in venture capital and consumer startups. She started as an analyst at Forerunner Ventures, an early-stage consumer focused fund which invested in companies such as Warby Parker, Dollar Shave Club, Away and Glossier. Elyse also worked as the Director of West Coast Operations for Ivy, a social networking startup, where she helped develop and launch their expansion. Elyse then pursued her passion for wellness and co-founded the mental wellness app Mindsail, where she oversaw fundraising, content strategy and product development. Elyse currently works for SCP Investments, a $1B+ multi-family office, where she is an investment analyst for the firm’s $100+ million non-liquid alternatives portfolio of investments in venture capital, private equity and real estate. She holds a Bachelor’s in Business from USC. Upon completion her IBEAR MBA, Elyse intends to develop her role at SCP Investments and grow the venture portfolio.
Thomas Rooke joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 8 years of experience across wealth management and strategic finance. Tom led the corporate finance, planning, and revenue forecasting team for a multi-billion-dollar business, providing support for executive management and guidance to the investment community. Tom drove companywide efficiency initiatives including integration of new software and automation of data transfers, improving speed and accuracy of forecasts. Tom graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Political Economics from UC Berkeley, where he also participated in intercollegiate athletics. Upon completion of the IBEAR MBA Program, Tom intends to pursue a career in sustainable business strategy.
Aaron Salhotra joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 6 years of experience in the advertising and media industry. He has worked with WPP, Adobe, Nielsen and, most recently, MightyHive as a Senior Account Manager in San Francisco. At MightyHive, which is part of the expanding S4 Capital umbrella, Aaron helped to mature a startup into a premier marketing and advertising company. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Aaron has a degree in economics from the University of California, Irvine.
Daniel Smegner joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 9 years in the commercial construction industry. He first began his career as an entrepreneur owning and operating a landscaping company that quickly grew. After selling the business, Daniel joined the IBEW and began an apprenticeship in the commercial electrical business and rapidly rose into leadership roles. Daniel has held roles in Preconstruction and Project Management where he served as the electrical expert on design build teams responsible for meeting and exceeding quarterly and yearly sales goals of $10M. Most recently Daniel worked as a Project Manager for one of the Rocky Mountains’ largest commercial contractors, where he managed a $7M portfolio of projects. Daniel graduated with a BS in Business from the University of Colorado. Upon completion of the IBEAR MBA, Daniel plans on using his transferable skills as a project manager to transition into the tech industry as a program manager.
Han “Kayla” Su
Han “Kayla” Su has 11 years of experience in business development and marketing. She started her career in Guangzhou, China where she worked to facilitate growth for Asian manufacturers in the North American/European markets. Moving to Los Angeles in 2014, Kayla became the Director of International Business Development for Southern California Reproductive Center, a world-renowned fertility center in Beverly Hills, CA. She spearheaded expansion strategies to promote fertility treatments in China, Japan, Singapore and other Asian regions, earning the company over 30% annual increases in revenue from the growth of international volume. She assembled and led a team of international coordinators to service over 1,000 clients a year. Kayla has helped multiple medical service companies navigate the US/Pacific market. Upon completion of the IBEAR program, Kayla seeks to transition her skillset into the consulting industry and provide strategic support to a wider variety of businesses
Nicole Sugiyama joins the IBEAR MBA Program with over 9 years of advertising agency account management experience building blue chip brands and digital products. She has collaborated with cross-functional B2C/B2B marketing leadership across a global network of 60 affiliate countries. Nicole has proven success in the CPG, foodservice, and technology industries citing Samsung, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Copenhagen Smokeless Tobacco, Courvoisier Cognac, EFFEN Vodka, and McCain Foods as her former agency of record clients. Nicole has been credited with increasing Jenn-Air sales by 23%, spreading awareness for KitchenAid's major portfolio, and bringing back the cool factor to top spirits brands. Nicole has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame. Upon completion of the IBEAR MBA Program, Nicole would like to develop an efficient model for innovation creation globally by finding overlap in areas of expertise with roots in human-centric strategy.
Virginia (Ginnie) Venuto
Virginia Venuto joins the IBEAR MBA Program with over 10 years of experience as a data-driven strategist, consultant, and entrepreneur. In her most recent role at ConferenceDirect, Virginia managed a diverse portfolio of responsibilities which included spearheading technological implementations to reduce costs and improve efficiencies. She also completely modernized the company’s reporting infrastructure and capabilities. Virginia served as a founder and CEO of two social-impact ventures where she built teams, partnerships and raised funding from angel investors and institutions such as Coca-Cola. As a consultant, Virginia builds and streamlines data-centric processes to save time and money for her clients. Upon completion of the IBEAR MBA Program, Virginia intends to develop professionally into a global business leader.
