USC Marshall Welcomes Snoop Dogg as 2025 Commencement Speaker
Entertainment legend and entrepreneur will address the Class of 2025 at L.A. Coliseum.
Entertainment icon, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Snoop Dogg, will be the 2025 commencement speaker for USC Marshall School of Business.
For nearly three decades, Snoop Dogg has been a trailblazing force, consistently raising the bar as a globally recognized innovator. Pulling from his experience as a multi-platinum rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, record producer, DJ, and media personality, the multi-hyphenate entrepreneur will share with graduates knowledge and life lessons earned across his groundbreaking career.
“I am deeply honored to join USC Marshall’s commencement in celebrating the remarkable achievements of these graduates,” Snoop Dogg said. “Commencement is not just a milestone — it’s a launching point. It’s about stepping into your purpose, applying what you’ve learned, and making an impact that matters. I look forward to welcoming them into the next chapter of their journey as leaders, innovators, and changemakers.”
Over the course of his music career, Snoop released 21 studio albums worldwide, reaching No. 1 on Billboard charts multiple times internationally and receiving 20 Grammy Award nominations. Snoop is also a TV personality known for his unexpected yet wildly successful collaborations such as the hit show, Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party with Martha Stewart. He has starred in numerous commercials for brands such as Corona, Skechers, and Bic, blending charisma with clever marketing. In 2024, Snoop was a standout host for NBC’s coverage of the Summer Olympics coverage, bringing his signature wit to interviews and event commentary. He was also a coach on NBC’s The Voice, further solidifying his presence in mainstream television.
From hip-hop to his ventures in technology, media, cannabis, and youth empowerment, Snoop has continually redefined what it means to be an entrepreneur through authenticity, innovation, and strategic brand building for global business success.
In 2022, Snoop acquired Death Row Records, expanding it into a multimedia powerhouse. In 2024, he co-launched Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop and also teamed with Happi Co. to create his own dessert, Dr. Bombay Ice Cream. Snoop’s business empire includes investments in esports, cannabis, and multiple consumer brands, proving his ability to innovate across industries.
Commencement is not just a milestone — it’s a launching point. It’s about stepping into your purpose, applying what you’ve learned, and making an impact that matters. I look forward to welcoming them into the next chapter of their journey as leaders, innovators, and changemakers.
— Snoop Dogg
Beyond business, Snoop Dogg has dedicated himself to philanthropy, particularly in education and community development. His Snoop Youth Football League empowers young athletes, teaching discipline, leadership, and teamwork — values that resonate deeply with future business leaders.
In recognition of his impact, Snoop Dogg was honored with the Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies Entrepreneur of the Year award earlier this fall. The award was presented during the undergraduate class, BAEP 452: Feasibility Analysis, taught by Albert Napoli, senior lecturer at USC Marshall. The icon spoke to the students about the importance of brand, resilience, and authentic relationships.
USC Marshall’s Commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for both undergraduate and graduate students. General event details can be found at USC’s 2025 Commencement website.
