Vivian Wong

Ph.D. Candidate in Finance and Business Economics

Vivian obtained a MA in international economics at Johns Hopkins University and BA in Asian studies at UC Berkeley.

Prior to joining FBE, Vivian worked as a research assistant at the Federal Reserve Board. There, she monitored developments in the U.S. Treasury primary market in support of open market operations and conducted research on international capital flows.

Her research focuses on the effects of financial regulation on bank behavior. In current work, she analyzes the shift in banks' balance sheets towards higher cash holdings after the 2008 Financial Crisis and the role of capital and liquidity rules.
