Program: MAcc D+A
Institution: California State University- Fresno
I grew up in Fresno, California and graduated California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and a minor in Spanish. Being the first person in my family to go to college, I knew I wanted to attend a University where I could grow as a young business professional, I chose USC because it has a prestigious reputation, an incredible network of professionals, and most importantly USC has shown the ability to adapt to industry changes and to prepare students for the future of accounting. The Master of Accounting with an Emphasis in Data and Analytics (MAcc D+A) is a primary example of how USC embraces changes in the accounting profession. I knew that USC would be the ideal school to equip me with the skills and technical foundation necessary to start a career in public accounting in an era where data is a primary focus of the modern accounting world. At USC, I feel I am receiving a top-tier education from knowledgeable professors who have real life work experience, and I am building unforgettable experiences with my colleagues.
