Molly Schmid

  • Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship

Dr.Schmid has significant experience at the interface of technology andcommercialization, She was an Assistant Professor of Molecular Biology at Princeton University, andthen served as a senior executive in a series of biotechnology companies. She has reviewed proposals for many years for the National Institutes of Health Small Business Innovative Research program. Currently, sheis an adjunct professor at USC Marshall School of Business, a consultantfor the Small Business Development Center based in Pasadena, and for UC IrvineBeall Applied Innovation. She is a member of the Tech Coast Angels andparticipates in the Orange County-TCA biomedical pre-screening panel. Dr. Schmid is an elected Fellow of theAmerican Academy of Microbiology and the American Institute for Medical andBiological Engineering. She earned her PhD in Biology from the University ofUtah and her BS degree from SUNY Albany.
