Kristine Xie

Xiaoqing (Kristine) Xie is an Associate Professor of Clinical Data Sciences and Operations at the USC Marshall School of Business. Before joining USC Marshall, Dr. Xie held academic positions at China Europe International Business School, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Fudan University.

Dr. Xie earned her Ph.D. in Operations Management from Cornell University. During her doctoral studies, she interned as an Operations Research Consultant at the Atlanta branch of JDA, a Supply Chain and Operations Management software consulting company. She holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from University of Western Ontario in Canada and a B.S. in Mathematics from Hunan University in China.

Dr. Xie’s research interests include Supply Chain and Operations Management, Healthcare and Service Operations Management, Consumer Discrete Choice Modeling, and Revenue Management and Dynamic Pricing. Her research papers have been published in several well-known international top academic journals, such as Production and Operations Management, European Journal of Operational Research, and Decision Sciences etc.

Dr. Xie’s teaching interests are Business/Data Analytics, Supply Chain and Operations Management, Service Operations, Revenue Management and Dynamic Pricing etc. She has extensive work experience in teaching and thesis supervision for students at all levels including undergraduate, master of science, doctoral, professional master (MBA and EMBA), as well as middle and senior management personnel of well-known enterprises in various industries and countries.
