What surprised you most about Marshall?
In a virtual environment, I was surprised by how invested my peers and professors were in building authentic relationships outside of the designated classroom windows. Our Accounting Professor, Mark Soliman, distributed a survey at the start of the term requesting information on our individual backgrounds and passions. He took the time to follow up with each of us about our submissions. This was not something I expected from a professor with more than 200 students and it meant a lot.

What do you wish you'd known before attending business school?
I applied to business school later in the process than most. With a non-traditional background, I felt an urgency to invest a lot of time learning material before class started. If I were to do anything differently, I would have allowed myself a longer break between ending my job and starting school. The first semester is a sprint.

What leadership positions do you hold at Marshall?
Co-Director Marshall MBA Ambassadors; Associate VP of Events for Marshall Net Impact; Associate VP of Admissions Graduate Women in Business; Marshall Leadership Fellow

What has been your favorite USC Marshall experience?
My time spent in the Marshall Net Impact and Graduate Women in Business clubs. I've loved the opportunity to build relationships with classmates focused on shared missions.

What is your favorite USC Marshall core class?
Contemporary Issues in Competitive Strategy

Which clubs are you involved in?
Marshall Net Impact; Graduate Women in Business; Data Analytics Club, Graduate Marketing Association; Turner | MIINT Impact Investing Case Competition; Marshall Leadership Fellows Program

Core:
A

Why did you choose Marshall?
I chose Marshall because of the unique opportunity to pursue the intersection of international business and social impact. The Brittingham Social Enterprise Lab and the PRIME Module were key drivers in my decision-making process. Coming from the East Coast, I was not as familiar with the Trojan Family, but now a few months in, I'm humbled to be a part of this pacesetting community.
