Jon Cleveland

Jon Cleveland serves as associate dean and Director of Marshall Career Services. In that role, he sets the strategy and leads the various teams and initiatives that support Marshall students’ professional success. With more than 20 years of experience in career services and student life, Jon has built his career around building teams, systems, and environments that drive student success. Prior to joining Marshall, Jon served as the Associate Vice Provost for Student Life here at USC, the Executive Director of Career Services at Colorado State University, executive manager with the Target Corporation, and a variety of leadership roles at the University of Wisconsin – Madison in the College of Letters and Science, the Wisconsin School of Business, and Student Affairs. Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Master of Arts degree in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Colorado State University.
