Jacob W. Roberson

5th Year OB PhD Candidate interested in race, DEI, labeling, psychological entitlement, narratives, and generational differences in the workplace.

Jacob examines the intersection of organizational messaging (e.g., leadership's diversity rhetoric) and employee identity (e.g., race, gender, political ideology, generational cohort). Specifically, he investigates the divergent workplace outcomes and personal experiences (e.g., leadership opportunities, perceived discrimination, or perceived deservingness) that emerge amongst employees from different backgrounds.

Jacob is currently on the 2026-2027 Academic Job Market.

Jacob has taught Organizational Behavior and Leadership (BUAD 304), a required undergraduate course for Business Administration majors.

He has also been a TA for the following courses:
