Giacomo Mantegazza is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Data Sciences and Operations at the USC Marshall School of Business.
Giacomo’s research lies at the intersection of economics and operations management, focusing on the interface between competition on markets and the strategies agents adopt to collect and use information. Most recently, he has been focusing on how the diffusion of complex Artificial Intelligence models affects the way strategic interactions evolve, from dynamic pricing and auctions and to the training and adoption of AI.
Before joining USC, Giacomo was the first postdoctoral scientist in the FBA (Fulfillment By Amazon) Science group at Amazon. He received a PhD in Operations, Information, and Technology from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and prior to he earned a B.Sc. and M.Sc. (both magna cum laude) in Economics from Bocconi University.
