Institution: University of California, Irvine
Hello! My name is Felicia Lay and I was born and raised in southern California. I recently graduated from the University of California, Irvine, where I double majored in Business Administration and Quantitative Economics and minored in statistics. After recruiting for Summer Leadership Programs with the Big 4 during my 2nd year of undergrad, I realized that I wanted to work in public accounting, specifically in tax. After taking a few tax courses and interning at EY in 2017, I knew I wanted to earn my CPA; but I wasn’t satisfied with the amount of tax knowledge I had. Choosing Leventhal and pursuing the MBT before starting full-time at EY was the perfect decision for me because the program has so many unique course offerings, an excellent alumni network, dedicated faculty and staff, and an overall great reputation. Being on the USC campus has been surreal and I have quickly fallen in love with USC’s culture, environment and location. I am super happy and proud to be a part of the USC network and I can’t wait to learn and grow with the rest of my classmates this year. If you have any questions about the MBT program, life as a USC graduate student, why I chose tax, or anything else in particular, please don't hesitate to reach out. I look forward to talking to you and fight on!
