What made you choose to attend USC Marshall?
I am actually under the Leventhal School of Accounting, and I chose to attend Leventhal because it is consistently ranked as one of the top accounting programs in nation. Being a top accounting program not only means that I am getting a world class, often rigorous, understanding of the principles of accounting, but the Big Four accounting firms make recruiting from Leventhal a priority.

Advice you wish you had known while applying to college:
When applying to universities, take a holistic approach; this means look at not only the educational opportunities and standing of the school, but also look at the environment--both location and the student body. I have met fellow students that are transfers from Ivy League institutions, because they attended these institutions for the prestige but ended up disliking the environment they lived in.

USC activities/general hobbies:
I am the Director of Administration for the Latino Business Student Association (LBSA). Some of past time activities are dancing Salsa, playing soccer, and watching movies.

Why do you love Los Angeles?
You cannot beat the weather. Because the weather is consistently perfect year round, it allows you to do various activities year around, such as going to the beach in November, hike any day of the year, and even ski or snowboard during the winter on a near by mountain.

What global experiences have you had in college?
I have not participated in study abroad program, but I have had the opportunity to make friends from across the world, from Italy to Hong Kong to Honduras and India. From living on the same dorm floor as an expat to taking a dance course with another international student, USC develops a community that brings diverse people from all over the world and unites them through the various activities and courses provided.

What internship/employment opportunities have you taken advantage of at Marshall?
I have not received a internship through the normal Marshall channels, but this past summer I had the opportunity to consult for a local plumbing company. Because of the status of USC, as a whole and specifically Leventhal and Marshall, my employer knew I was qualified and adequately prepared for the position.
