Carmen Payne-Mann

  • PhD Candidate in Accounting

Carmen is a doctoral candidate in accounting at the University of Southern California's Leventhal School of Accounting. Before joining USC, Carmen earned her B.S. in Accounting from BYU (summa cum laude), where she also completed the school's Accounting Ph.D. Prep Program. She then went on to earn her Master of Accounting from Florida State University. Her research examines the intersection of disclosure and capital markets, mainly focusing on mandatory investor disclosure and the use of accounting information for financial statement analysis. Outside of research, Carmen enjoys reading, hiking, rock climbing, playing volleyball, and anything else she can do outdoors.
