What made you choose to attend USC Marshall?
USC was actually the only west coast university I applied to but after visiting for Explore USC, I immediately fell in love with the campus life, collaborative environment, and interdisciplinary nature of USC. When I was looking at business schools, I wanted a program that could provide a strong business foundation, but also would allow me to explore other interdisciplinary interests, specifically within the fashion industry. After visiting for Explore USC, I learned about the YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund and the Fashion Industry Association--two incredible opportunities where I could bridge together my interest in fashion and business.  Additionally, I wanted a business school that provided me flexibility to travel abroad, as I had never traveled overseas. Marshall had exactly that with the Global Leadership Program and International Exchange Program. Lastly, all of the students that I had spoken with during Explore were heavily involved on campus and had a lot of different interests. This really resonated with me because I felt that Marshall was a place where you could really foster  relationships with peers and pursue your passions whatever they may be.

Advice you wish you had known while applying to college:
My biggest piece of advice would be to think about what your ideal college looks like and list out a set of criteria that you are specifically looking for. During my college application process, I think I over-applied to a lot of different universities because I wasn't really sure exactly what I was looking for and wanted to have a lot of options. This ended up being a costly and inefficient application process. Instead, I would speak to as many current students as possible and figure out what they like and don't like about their university and then think about what is most important to you. Once I identified the criteria I was looking for and visited campus, it became clear to me that USC had checked all of my boxes and was the best fit for me.

USC activities/general hobbies:
Smart Woman Securities, Fashion Industry Association, Marshall Student Ambassador, Salsa Dance, Hiking,  Exploring the LA food scene

Why do you love Los Angeles?
I love LA because there is always something to do. From trying new restaurants in LA to hiking to exploring art museums, there's never a dull moment!

What global experiences have you had in college?
During my freshman year, I traveled to Shanghai and Beijing through the Global Leadership Program. This is hands down one of the best experiences I've had at Marshall so far because I've made some of my greatest friends and was able to travel overseas for the first time. I will also be traveling abroad to Koblenz, Germany to study at WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management through the Marshall International Exchange Program, which I am definitely looking forward to!

What internship/employment opportunities have you taken advantage of at Marshall?
Through the YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund and Fashion Industry Association, I was able to intern at UBM Fashion Group in Santa Monica and extern at the LA Buying Office of Ross Dress for Less, respectively. Additionally, I interned at Henri Bendel and J.P. Morgan in New York.
