Alan Siero

Alan Cruz Siero is Research Program Administrator for the VanEck Digital Assets Initiative (VEDA) at USC Marshall, where he supports program operations, research coordination, and major initiatives including the Southern California Blockchain Conference. His work focuses on advancing engagement in digital assets and emerging technologies through partnerships with faculty, industry, and student organizations.

Previously, Alan held leadership roles at the University of California, Riverside, where he led systems, analytics, and operational strategy for Facilities Services. He directed campus-wide programming related to safety, sustainability, data management, and AI governance, and implemented enterprise systems and process improvements to support large-scale operations.

Alan has experience working with other academic institutions, including the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, to develop programming and support management of the annual RI Trans Health Conferences and related professional workshops. He is a co-author of the study “Characteristics of acute sexual assault care in New England emergency departments” (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37193060/), reflecting his experience supporting clinical research and evidence-based practice.

Alan holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from University of California, Los Angeles and a master’s degree in Communication Management from USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. He has also worked across multiple departments at University of Southern California in communication, systems, and data management roles—supporting USC Enrollment Services and the launch of the USC Engemann Student Health Center—to expand and improve services for students.
