Tim Coleman

Tim Coleman is a retired partner of PJT Partners where he served as head of the Restructuring and Special Situations Group. Before the spinoff of PJT Partners from Blackstone, Mr. Coleman worked for 23 years at Blackstone, as a Senior Managing Director and head of the Restructuring and Reorganization Group. Mr. Coleman worked on a variety of restructuring assignments and special situations for corporations, companies, municipalities, creditor groups, special committees of corporate boards, and acquirers of distressed assets. Tim has been widely recognized for excellence in his field and was awarded the Harvey R. Miller Outstanding Achievement Award (2019), the leadership award at the Turnaround Atlas Awards (2017) and the Turnaround Leadership award from The M&A Advisor (2014). Mr. Coleman was inducted into the Turnaround Restructuring and Distressed Investing Industry Hall of Fame (2013) and named Global Investment Banker of the Year by the Turnaround Atlas Awards (2011). Finally, his most notable cases include: AMBAC, Bear Stearns Asset Management, Cable & Wireless Holdings, Delta Air Lines, Energy XXI, Financial Guaranty Insurance Company, Ford Motor Company, Latam Airlines, the Los Angeles Dodgers, Westinghouse and Xerox, among others.

Mr. Coleman’s active Board memberships include, GOL, a Brazilian airline, the USC Marshall School Board of Counselors and Board of Leaders, Tina’s Wish, the Coco Point Fund and the Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital Board of Advisors. Mr. Coleman serves as an advisor to the Future Project.
