Nahyun’s research examines how organizations understand and construe time and temporalities in attending to social, environmental issues. She focuses particularly on vocabularies and grammatical structures of organization language that reflects and affects perceptions of organizational actors. She also studies how organizations engage with various stakeholders who have different interests, power, and temporal orientations in pursuit of sustainable development.
Before joining Tilburg University as an assistant professor, Nahyun completed her PhD in General Management, specializing in Sustainability, at Ivey Business School, Western University (formerly the University of Western Ontario). She received a MS in International Business and Strategy, and a BBA and BA in Chinese Literature and Linguistics, both from Korea University.
