Michelle Aitala

  • Associate Director and Career Strategist, Marshall Graduate Career Services

Michelle Aitala is an Associate Director of Graduate Career Services (GCS) at Marshall. She is a Board of Trustee member of The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management. She has 20 years of university and private career coaching experience and currently coaches full-time MBA students. She manages the GCS Peer Coach program and collaborates on key GCS programming. Each year, she prepares historically underrepresented MBA students for early diversity recruiting opportunities.

She holds an MS in Counseling from Villanova University and a BA in Psychology from Elizabethtown College. Additionally, she completed an equivalent master of interior architecture program from UCLA and worked in architecture and interior design for 13 years. She will complete an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, Educational Psychology, at the USC Rossier School of Education in 2024, focusing on a sense of belonging with an emphasis on the experiences of African American students enrolled in business programs.
