Lori Chan Velasco has worked in higher education advancement, fundraising, donor relations, annual giving, alumni relations and volunteer leadership at USC for 20+ years. Since 2021, she has served as the Senior Director of Stewardship and Donor Relations for the USC Marshall School of Business and the USC Leventhal School of Accounting. Lori and her team partner with the Marshall community to cultivate meaningful engagement, uplift contributors, and steward philanthropic gifts. They manage 350+ scholarships, help connect students to resources that make education and career-building experiences possible, and extend the school's gratitude to donors for their many contributions and further inspiring students, faculty, research, programs, and leadership.
As a grateful past scholarship recipient with a deep regard for education, STEAM, and service, Lori has dedicated her career to learning, innovating, and aligning people and opportunities. She has served in the healthcare and education industries and has presented at conferences. Lori earned a degree in biomedical/biochemical engineering, an MBA with a focus on strategy and organization, and a Doctorate in Education, Organizational Change and Leadership, at USC.
Education changes lives, and opportunities abound for scholars before, during, and after their time at USC, largely due to the generosity of our diverse Trojan Family and friends.
