Keith Bergthold is CEO and Founder of Regenerate California Innovation and a veteran community organizer, strategic planner, and nonprofit and local city leader. He has consistently applied the civic priorities of community voice, agency, and peer partnership, activated alongside the efforts of local government, industry and institutional sectors, as the most effective blueprint for improving place and resident opportunities for health and resilience. For more than three decades, he has advanced urban, rural, and regional workforce, land-use, transportation, and economic-development planning and policy initiatives in California’s Central Valley. Keith has helped secure and manage millions of dollars in public and philanthropic funding and led major community-development, healthy-food, housing, workforce, and regional-planning initiatives in the Valley. His work emphasizes community voice, local leadership, and cross-sector partnership. He brings this approach to emerging questions about artificial intelligence, believing that effective technology policy must be grounded in the values, concerns, and aspirations of the communities it affects.
