Eric Chung

Eric Chung is managing director of VanEck Digital Assets Initiative at USC Marshall School of Business. He is also an adjunct professor in the Technology & Applied Computing (TAC) Program at the Viterbi School of Engineering. He is a founding faculty of USC’s minor in Blockchain which he co-created in 2018. His teaching focuses on blockchain technology and digital assets, having taught courses on Smart Contract Development, Blockchain Advances & Use Cases, and Digital Entrepreneurship.

Outside of USC, Eric has been active in the blockchain industry as an entrepreneur and investor for nearly a decade. He previously co-founded Abridged, a no-code blockchain development platform that birthed the technology behind token-gating and viral product Collab.Land. Prior to Abridged, he founded DApperNetwork, one of the world’s first blockchain developer education companies. He also co-founded LA Blockchain Lab, an NGO that advised public and private sectors in the city of Los Angeles on strategic blockchain initiatives. He is currently a venture advisor for Ethos Fund, a venture capital firm specialized in early-stage tech in Southeast Asia and an angel investor in crypto startups. He received his bachelor’s degree in Physics from University of California, Los Angeles.
