Why did you choose Marshall?
The Trojan Network is real and extremely powerful. One of my priorities going into the MBA was to establish a strong network across different industries, and I had seen first-hand the strength of the Marshall network in particular. Marshall's smaller class size in comparison to other MBA programs also stood out to me. I wanted to really connect with my classmates on an individual level and the smaller class size and program structure helps to build deep relationships with my classmates. Another factor that played into my decision was that Marshall was the first top business school to achieve gender parity.

What has been your favorite USC Marshall experience?
Shortly after meeting my new classmates, we flew out for the USC vs. Stanford game. This was my first USC tailgate, and I also loved exploring San Francisco while making lifelong memories and getting to know my classmates better outside of class.

What do you wish you'd known before attending business school?
Business school is fast paced and there are so many different opportunities for each individual to tailor the experience to their unique interests. With the many opportunities available, it's also important to understand what is most important to you and to prioritize accordingly. Besides classes, building relationships is just as important. Take advantage of the diverse backgrounds in business school and leverage all the perspectives that come with that diversity.

How is Marshall helping you accomplish your goals?
Even before I started the program, Marshall students and alumni were eager to meet with and support me for early recruiting, connecting me to other alumni, and answering any questions I had. This support helped me prepare for the recruiting process, and I received an internship offer in the industry and function that I was looking to pivot into. On campus, there are so many avenues to become involved and Marshall has enabled me to explore and make a difference in the areas that I'm interested in.
