Online MBA modules win big at annual Telly Awards

USC Marshall’s Online MBA program was twice honored at the 39th annual Telly Awards. The “Approaches to Strategy” series and “Approaches to Strategy: The Cold War” module earned Marshall two silver People’s Choice awards in the Education category.

“Kevin Murphy and Carl Voigt’s excellent teaching combined with the online team’s instructional design, creativity and production prowess contribute to the OMBA students’ learning and are repeatedly acknowledged by external professionals,” said Sandra Chrystal, vice dean for online education and professor of clinical business communication. “Everyone at Marshall shares the goal of quality online programs. We are very proud of this recognition.”

Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards honor “excellence in video and television across all screens,” including local, regional and cable television commercials and non-broadcast video and television programming. The Telly Awards receive more than 12,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents.

USC Marshall introduced the Online MBA in fall 2015. It was also recognized at the Telly Awards in 2016 when it earned two bronze awards for the “Big Ideas in Economics” modules.
