Mark Brewster graduated from Brigham Young University in 2018 with a B.S. in Finance. Prior to attending USC Marshall, he worked as a credit risk analyst at Goldman Sachs covering a wide variety of corporations primarily in the TMT space. His work there entailed establishing internal credit ratings for borrowers and engaging with external regulators. Mark appreciates meeting and interacting with people of all different backgrounds and cultures. He enjoys traveling and prior to graduating from BYU he spent two years in Chihuahua, Mexico as a church volunteer. Current interests include hiking, skiing and spending time with his partner and 2-year daughter who enjoys the beach.
Rui Ma graduated from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2012 with a B.Eng. in Communication Engineering. He also holds an M.S. from the Lund University in Sweden. Prior to attending USC Marshall, He was an associate in a local investment bank in China, working on transactions such as IPO, M&A, and ABS. He has learned about the markets by making personal investments in equity and cryptocurrencies, reading investment thesis, and passing CFA level I. Current interests in street workout exercising, playing guitar, and cooking.
Ericson Shi graduated from Boston University in 2012 with a B.S. in Business Administration concentrating in Finance and International Management. Prior to attending USC Marshall, he worked at Morgan Stanley in the Fund Services department. Ericson’s interest in investing came from working in the financial services industry and helping his family’s investment company. In his spare time he loves to travel, play poker, root for the Lakers, and try new cuisines.
Melissa Wongso graduated from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business in 2018 with a B.S. in Business Administration. Prior to attending USC Marshall, she worked as an Audit Associate at Deloitte where she conducts financial inspection and resolves complex accounting issues related to acquisition, business restructuring, debt issuance and valuation of public and private clients. Melissa aspires to work at the intersection of profit and purpose, leveraging her skills and knowledge to democratize access to education and capital in developing countries such as her home-country Indonesia. In her spare time, she loves to travel, do yoga, and go on food adventures.
