Public Transportation Adventures!

USC, is located in the prime location for lots of great food and adventures. Though because most students on campus don't have their own cars, there's the question of how do we get to these fun spots?! Well, the other great thing about USC is that we are located in an area where there is a lot of public transportation available to us. From buses, to trains, to the Amtrak we've got it all! Freshman year, before the free USC Uber was intact, I would always take the train to Downtown LA, to go to Target and just general day adventures in the city. If you're looking to get away for a day or even the weekend, the new connection to Santa Monica is easily accessible from the metro just off of the USC campus. Grab your friends and your beach towels and get away from the "USC bubble," for a little bit! The Metro is always expanding its lines: the Gold Line to the Inland Empire, the Expo Line to Santa Monica, the Purple Line to Westwood (I don't know why you'd go here lol) and the Green Line to LAX. The adventures are endless and the best part is it's on average only $1.75 a trip! Lastly, if you're looking to go further distances or even go home, we have really great shuttles on campus that run every 30 mins back and forth from not only the HSC ( Health Sciences Campus), but also Union Station. So, you could always hop off and get some great food at Olevera Street, or go to the train station and catch a connecting train (San Diego, etc.). There are so many different and easily accessible ways to get where you want to go, sometimes it may take a little planning but it's always worth it! And if you ever feel like you don't know where you're going, just ask for the Expo Park/USC or  Jefferson/USC stop and you'll be right back at home! Fight ON!
