Concerts and Events at USC

I never actually have seen a concert before I came to USC. One thing really cool that happens on campus at SC are our three annual concerts put on by the USC Concerts Committee. These three annual concerts are: The Welcome Back Concert, Springfest, and the CONQUEST Concert (rally pre-USC v UCLA Football). Students can join and help run the USC Concerts Committee, as they organize programs and bring the hottest bands and musicians to campus! Previous artists have included Big Sean, A-trak, Travis Barker, Walk the Moon, Capital Cities, Wolfgang Gartner, Anberlin, Macklemore, Cobra Starship, Tokyo Police Club, Mos Def, Third Eye Blind, T-Pain, OK Go, Lupe Fiasco, Hellogoodbye, Phantom Planet, The Fray, Katy Perry, Wyclef Jean, and many more!  Besides these three annual events, the Concerts Committees also books shows with smaller bands and musicians at Ground Zero and at noon time at Tommy Trojan.   Personally, the CONQUEST event is probably one of my favorites events on campus. Right before our rivalry football game against UCLA, our McCarthy Quad is turned into a carnival for the night. This past fall, we had a massive bonfire, mini ferris wheel, free food, and the concert. Prior to the concert starting, our famous marching band came out on stage, followed by the football team. The crowd started cheering for them and we all got really excited about the rivalry game the next day. This is just one example of the many events that happen on campus right outside most of the freshmen dorms.
