Why did you choose Marshall?
I chose Marshall for its location. I have benefited greatly from the major metropolises I lived in before (Tokyo, Mumbai), and LA, being the largest urban centre in the US by GDP, was a no-brainer when it came to the location. Strong connections to the Pacific economic zone and the Asian community were also major factors. Finally, the warmth and friendliness that just came across in my interactions with students sealed the deal for me!

What do you wish you'd known before attending business school?
That all schools have a Sorting Hat-like ritual to sort people into Cores? – No. Getting oneself in the "business school mindset" before entering can be very rewarding! This can include interacting with other fellow b-school admits to get a head start on the all-important networking, or even doing 10 minute intro courses to business courses like economics or finance.
How is Marshall helping you accomplish your goals?
I love the immense diversity of thought, background, culture, geography and professional experience that is represented in the small and tight-knit class. Cycling through many teams lets me expose myself to all of this combined learning, and I can confidently say I grew as much in the first 70 days than I did in the 700 prior to joining Marshall.
