What surprised you most about Marshall?
What surprised me the most about Marshall is the concerted effort that the various departments such as Career Services, Admissions and Academics put to ensure that the students are adequately plugged into the Marshall experience. From the different career seminars to the various mixers, we are each given the foundational tools to be able to succeed both professionally and personally.
What do you wish you'd known before attending business school?
Time Management is critical. To be honest, I knew this before coming to business school, but I didn’t take it very seriously because I didn’t think it was so important. It is. Take it from me, if time flies when you’re having fun, it flies even faster when you’re in Term 1. So, come prepared to rise to the challenge!
What leadership positions do you hold at Marshall?
AVP Case Preparation, Marshall Consulting & Strategy Club
AVP Finance, Black Graduate Business Leaders
AVP Junior Achievement, Challenge4Charity
Marshall MBA Ambassador, Marshall Leadership Fellow
What has been your favorite USC Marshall experience?
Over and beyond, it has to be TAM Day! TAM Day is a day of friendly competition among cores that allowed me to connect with my classmates and gave me a true sense of just how collaborative the students here are, even when they didn’t know each other’s names. Full disclosure - my core didn’t win but the friendly banter afterwards was fun!
What is your favorite USC Marshall core class?
Accounting with Mark Soliman. Accounting is a pretty rigorous class particularly if you don’t have any prior knowledge about the subject matter. Nevertheless, having a professor who is engaging and charismatic certainly makes the class a lot more bearable!
Which clubs are you involved in?
Marshall Consulting & Strategy Club, Black Graduate Business Leaders, Graduate International Student Club

Why did you choose Marshall?
There are 3 reasons why I chose Marshall. The first and second were the location and the Trojan Network. However, the third reason, which sealed the decision for me, was the continuous engagement from the school even while I was a deferred candidate (due to the pandemic). By constantly being in touch with the students, I really became a fan of the school even though I was 6000+ miles away. One of the biggest blessings of my life is being here and studying here with some of the brightest people I’ve ever encountered. I’ll always be grateful for this.
