What surprised you most about Marshall?
Before starting school, I knew that Marshall would be a very collaborative environment - I just didn't know that it would be that much! Every student is really invested in each others' success, and this support is critical for us on moving forward. It is impossible to go through all activities - academics, recruiting, clubs - without counting on my peers.
What do you wish you'd known before attending business school?
I wish I knew the importance of prioritizing. There are so many things to do at Marshall that it is really hard to pick a few projects to be involved with. I was caught of guard by the wide range of opportunities that the school provides, and it is impossible to do everything that you want, especially during the first year. So do a list of things you really like beforehand!
What leadership positions do you hold at Marshall?
AVP Alumni Relations, BEA
AVP Outreach & Admissions, Marshall Pride
Favorite USC Marshall Experience:
I really enjoyed Marshall Takes the Mic. It is a safe space in which students can go on stage and share personal stories with our community. It was a special way of connecting with my classmates on a deepest level and learn from their experiences.
Favorite USC Marshall Core Class:
Contemporary Issues in Competitive Strategy
Which clubs are you involved in?
BEA, Marshall Pride, MDAC, GMA and LMBA.
Why did you choose Marshall?
I believe Marshall is the best school to help me achieve my career goals - it has strong ties with the Entertainment industry. People also played an important factor in my decision - I instantly clicked with everyone I talked to during my application process. And last but not least, I really love the LA vibe!
