What surprised you most about Marshall?
I was really surprised by how tight-knit the Marshall community actually is. I had hear about the Trojan network, but I was still surprised to see it play out in reality. Everyone in the program is so collaborative. My classmates have always been there for me, whether it is for completing an assignment or preparing for an interview. Additionally, the second year students are more than willing to help guide the first years through the recruiting process, given that they were in our shoes not too long ago. The trojan network is real.
What do you wish you'd known before attending business school?
I wish I knew how rigorous the program was going to be on the academic front. The first few weeks of school are focused solely on coursework and the pace of those courses is really quick. I wish I was better prepared for that coming into school.
What leadership positions do you hold at Marshall?
AVP of Business Development, Healthcare Leadership Association, AD of Data Analytics, Marshall Business Competition Program, AVP of Finance, MarshallWear
Favorite USC Marshall Experience:
The best part of Marshall is getting to know your classmates and one of our early experiences was TAM day during orientation week. This day the three cores compete through different games and sports and it is really fun to see everyone's competitive side come out.
Favorite USC Marshall Core Class:
Contemporary Issues in Competitive Strategy
Which clubs are you involved in?
Healthcare Leadership Association, Marshall Business Competition Program, MarshallWear, American Finance Association, MBA Ambassador
Why did you choose Marshall?
I chose Marshall for several reasons, but the main being the Trojan network. I am from SoCal and wish to stay in SoCal post-MBA and I knew the network here would help me obtain that goal. Additionally, there is a strong healthcare presence on campus, which allows me to access many resources as I recruit within the healthcare space.
