Founded in 1958, ESADE’s goal is to provide students with a top-quality business education. Its focus has been to provide an important center for research in the ever-changing fields of social science, management, law and economics as well as a forum for discussing and evaluating current and foreseeable socio-political, cultural and technological developments. It is one of the founding members of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS). ESADE is also a member of The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). The Association of MBAs (AMBA), The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the Latin American Council of Business Schools (CLADEA) and numerous other academic and professional associations.

ESADE is one of the leading institutions in Europe, with a world renowned business school. ESADE has one of the top ranked business schools in Europe (ranked #4 non-U.S. business program in the world by Business Week, and 16 in the world overall by the Financial Times , and is accredited by the The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). They are the top ranked business program in Spain, and the one of the top business programs in Europe. The university offers a wide-range of programs. ESADE university faculties consist of the Escuela Superior de Adminsitracion y Direccion de Empresas and the Law School and the Saint Ignasi School of Tourism (an associated center). These centers impart a series of studies that provide access to state degree programs (diplomas, undergraduate, PhD) as well as graduate degrees (master’s) and postgraduate studies.

Campus:
The university campus is typical of European universities, consisting of 3 main buildings located in a residential neighbourhood called Pedralbes in the Northwest part of Barcelona. The ESADE campus is typical for urban European universities. It consists of 3 main, large buildings. In those buildings are housed 2 libraries with 30,000 volumes, and a full-array of on-line resources, three computer labs with 200 PC computers, a bookstore and coffee shop, career center, travel agency, bank, learning/study center, auditorium and data processing center, all of which IEP students have access. ESADE has limited housing space available in its residence hall. Students may also locate housing on their own through the assistance of the university exchange offices. Curriculum:
ESADE offers limited English language courses in a wide variety of areas including Marketing, Finance, Information and Operations Management, Leadership and Human Resources.
