Career Services Advisors are available by appointment and for walk-in advising throughout most of the academic year. During the summer and school breaks, advisors are available by appointment only. All current undergraduate Marshall majors are eligible for career advising.

Kira Dalton

Associate Director

A focused, driven, quirky, and adventurous spirit, Kira Dalton’s career has spanned a wide range of job functions within the entertainment and higher education worlds. Prior to joining Marshall in September 2016, Kira served as a Campus Recruiter with the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA, hiring undergraduate and MBA level interns for the highly competitive professional internships program. During her time at Disney, she focused on securing talent for the marketing, distribution, digital sales, strategic planning, legal, and production divisions of the Walt Disney Studios, including Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) in San Francisco. Previous posts include: Pepperdine University (Industry Specialist in Media and Entertainment), BluFable (corporate media production), Foley Marra Casting (tv/commercial casting), and DreamWorks Animation (Production and C level executive support). She has worked as a private career coach for entry level to executive level clients since 2012.

Kira graduated with honors from Pepperdine University in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Television Production.

In her spare time, Kira enjoys: perfecting shots of delicious foods on instagram, creative writing, and practicing her yoga headstand. She loves Tillamook carmel pecan ice cream, live theatre, her husband Andy, and fluffy puppies.

Gerald Corporal

Career Services Advisor

Born in Guam, Gerald has lived around the world with his father serving in the US Army. He proudly calls Seattle, WA his hometown, and attended the University of Washington to double major in Cinema Studies and Communication. Gerald arrived at USC in 2012 to earn his Master of Education in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs, and has advised the Undergraduate Student Government, interned at Asian Pacific American Student Services, worked at Disability Services & Programs, and joined the Marshall family in 2014 as an Academic Advisor. He joined the Undergraduate Career Services team in 2016, and currently manages the Peer Career Advising program, specialized recruitment efforts, and serves on Marshall’s undergraduate Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. During his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, watching movies, traveling, and makes frequent trips to Seattle in the fall to attend UW football games.

Lauren Olson

Career Services Advisor

Lauren served as the USC Marshall Undergraduate Student Services Coordinator for two years, where she supported all career, student organization, and international programming initiatives before joining the Career Services team in fall 2016. Prior to entering the field of Higher Education, Lauren worked at several advertising agencies (180LA, RPA, Deutsch LA) on the account management team. Born and raised in Southern California, Lauren earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration degree from Loyola Marymount University in May 2010 and is excited to start the USC Price School of Public Policy’s Master of Public Administration (MPA) program in fall 2017. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, Lakeshow, Broncos, Arsenal, ice-cream cake, and puppies.

Lisa Luna

Career Services Advisor

An innovative team-player who is unafraid to think differently, always going the extra mile and keeps current on the latest career services trends. Lisa has over ten years of experience in higher education including career services, recruitment/admissions and academic planning. In addition she spent five years in the healthcare industry serving as an office manager for a large private practice facility and as a freelance program coordinator for pharmaceutical sales force training.

As a Career Services Advisor for USC Marshall School of Business, she contributes and manages content for key communication pieces, identifies opportunities for improvement and growth by tracking and managing data for external and internal audits, and successfully manages and maintains CRM software including Symplicity and Salesforce.

She enjoys a good cup of coffee, cooking for her family, and watching cartoons with her son.
